Do you like listening to music? What about composing a song? Your challenge in this project is to create a song to fight bullying. Does it seem difficult? Here you will find a few ideas to help you do it, even if you can’t play any musical instruments. Are you ready? Let’s begin!
First decisions
In this step you are going to form your band and make decisions on some aspects of your song. Musicians think of lots of things before they actually write a song. That is what you are going to learn in this stage.
Creative process
Music is a form of art that combines sounds, such as notes, tones and words. In this step you will learn more about harmony and melody and see some tips on how to write the lyrics.
Rehearsals
Now it is time to practice and rehearse. You are going to work on your song to make the most of it. So, in this stage you will find some suggestions to improve your work and to get ready for the recording or the live performance.
Showtime
Ready to share your song? You have to decide between a music video or a live performance. In this step, you will find some ideas on how to do both, which may help you choose the type of presentation that matches your song best.

Now it is time to think about the harmony, melody and lyrics. You can create all this collaboratively in your group or divide the tasks: one or two people work on the lyrics, the others focus on the instruments, melody and harmony — but always taking different ideas into consideration. Finally, when you finish your song, take a break from it. After some days, read and listen to it again and evaluate if there are aspects to improve on to get to the final version. Are you not sure how to start? Check the infographic!
TASKS:
Work on the song and improve the first draft.
SKILLS:
You will develop creativity, patience, self-assessment and teamwork skills.
!Did you know creativity also depends on practice? To boost yours it is important to do creative activities. But creative solutions only achieve the best results possible with the help of patience and self-assessment. So, be open to identify problems and to deal with negative feedback.
